Comment: Hi guys! A closer friend of mine is now in big trouble because someone started to spread a difamatory chainletter about his girlfriend. According to his version, most of the content is made of lies and slanders against her probity and professional skills. Does anyone know a way to follow the chain progression and eventualy stop it, or, at least, collect the mail adresses so she could present her own viewpoint? Is there any tool to perform this ethical delicated task? They just aim that people who get the original email could read from both sides. Any hint would be greatly appreciated. Thanxx in advance, Manchine.

Reply: (edit)unless you know someone who has received a copy of this, with all the different forwards included, then just reply with all the addresses copied with comma's or use cc to send it out. there is no real way to trace an e-mail farther then the isp can.

Reply: (edit)Dont bother, it would only generate more interest in what was said in the first place. Most if not all of the people will forget all about the chain letter in a couple of days anyway.
