Hello. I have had the JS_EXCEPTION.GEN discovered on my PC twice. After reading posts I had deleted it successfully - I think - scanned and I was clear(PC-Cillin and online scan), I also turned off system restore etc.
Today I have it again and I have only been to 3 websites BBC,Newcastle United Official site and Hotmail(no emails).I would assume these were 'safe' sites. Before it was always in document and settings this time my realtime scan said it was detected and was quarantined (could not clean) -HOWEVER on starting PC-Cillin and going to quarantine there was nothing there.I checked the virus log and there are two listings for today in program files\Trend Micro\PC-cillin\QUARANTINE\hp|1|.js and the other the same except for the last bit which reads \counter|1|.htm. Can someone please help me to know what this means. Am I infected?? Has it tricked my antivirus?? Done a complete scan with PC-Cillin and it says all clear. Everything seems normal. The only other time I have used my PC lately was last night when I downloaded a copy of Swat It from the manufacturers site (this was running today when my AV told me about the virus). Can anyone tell me what, if anything I should do?? Have AV running all the time, zonealarmpro too.Cheers
