I have had this laptop for a couple years so not sure what started it. But I can charge the laptop just fine, and the fan works. It will start up just fine and send me to the log in screen I log in to the laptop and the only thing that comes up is a blank screen with a prompted message of antivirus software to register, which I have no license number. Is there just a way I can reboot the laptop? thank you for your help.

That is probably FAKE.Can you boot into Safe Mode?
thank you for your responses. I have downloaded avg and it cleared it enough to get on my desktop then downloaded the c cleaner and defragger soo now computer is up to date and running just fine! Thank you again :)
