Sometimes there is a number lock setting in BIOS - can you get in there?

Let us know exactly what appears on the screen when you start up.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

It might be those food bugs you mentioned in your other posting but I too anxiously await further details.

DAVE perhaps you can enlighten me.

There was a contributor that used to offer some of the most outlandish advice here quite a while back? What was his name? I remember Jam especially taking exception to the advice but most of the community had to go into damage control after his advice was offered.

There was one fellow, techninja a couple years ago who was sometimes annoying. Another one, at least I think it was a different one, would start off with good answers but then wander off into lala land. But I don't remember his user name. I think most of time they're younger people who are probably considered computer gurus in their own little groups and don't have anyone to call them on their excesses until they come here. Sometimes if they'd get ripped on a lot I'd send them a message advising them tp tone it down and listen and learn and not feel obligated to respond to every problem. I don't think it's a good idea to chase them off but maybe they just need to be nudged into a more people-friendly place.

I'm not sure about computerize. Maybe it's typos or a not having English-as-a-first-language issue.

Agreed mate. Primary language obstacles do pose interpretation issues.

The username had snake in the title I believe....

I think at one time an angle grinder and a CPU was used in the same sentence.
