hi johntaylor, easy solution for the next time. go to the Tools file in I.E. and click on internet options, then security button, then restricted sites, then add www.tinybar.com and any other piece of adware, spyware crap .com you wish to the list, then click apply and then ok. this should stop any and all scum from entering your computer. all the best and cheers, murve

try to delete sp.reg from windows directory and the key "SearchAssistant"="http://www.tinybar.com/ie/" from [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search] see also http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win95/r1019319311

oh sorry, you must aslo to remove "import sp.reg" from start menu [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RUN] to avoid error messages
