Is Mozilla's email client any more or less secure than any other one, like Eudora or Outlook?

Anyone here use it? Like it?
Thanks

Well, I'm using it, and I like it a lot. If nothing else, it has a great junk mail function. I believe it is more secure as it disables a lot of script-type stuff right off the bat. I don't know a lot about it however.

I love thunderbird!!! Very easy to use!!! I don't think an email client can be more secure. Get it, love it.

Have been using it since last spring. The junk mail function dw226 mentions works just fine.
One drawback is that no AV seem have a setup for scanning the mails within it. But since everything written to disc is AV scanned and a total AV scan includes all files, I guess there really is no problem.

I've installed the Thunderbird email program and like it quite fine, thank you. I have AVG andti-virus and it scans emails incoming and outgoing.
I also have !AVAST software, and update both pretty well daily, or every two days, and haven't had anything nasty get into my machine since. You can schedual the !Avast program to scan while booting up the machine.
Be warned, though, it takes a long time to scan the whole machine completely for some reason--25-35 minutes--, so do this while having breakfast or something.
I also have the FireFox browser and love it.
Ditto for the OpenOffice suite.
Notice that I'm ditching all the vulnerable MS stuff.
