thinkpoint has disabled internet

Specs: Windows XP
Please help - thinkpoint has disabled my internet connection how do i remove it cannot even open IE - My operating system is windows vista - can anyone help

For your internet, tap f8 on bootup, select safe mode with networking.
Once in, open IE, click on tools/internet options/connections/Lan Settings and then uncheck use proxy server. That should get you online when you re-open .

thanks for your reply but unfortunately i cannot even open IE even though i am on safe mode with networking.
any other suggestions

open all programs and right click on IE/properties and do the above.

sorry for the late post but maybe you are still dealing with this

go into task manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL and kill the process named hotfix.exe this should stop the virus from working and give you IE back. then go to malwarebytes.org and download the free version and do a full scan and remove
