I have a huge problem and am hoping that somebody can help me. When I open up Explorer it will start loading my homepage and then suddenly start flooding my screen with thehun yellow pages popups. They keep going over and over up to around 35 times or so and cant be stopped unless I click the X right when the first thehun screen starts to open. I havent found any information on this while searching the net but its making my Internet Explorer basically useless. I have tried hijack this and it didnt find anything.

Anyone familiar with this problem and possibly know how to fix it?

Thanks
Barry

Copy the text file below to Notepad and save as Remove.reg (make sure you save as type 'all files' )
Doubleclick Remove.reg, and answer yes when asked to add its contents to the Registry.

I followed the directions you posted above and got the following error message.

Cannot import C:\PROGRA 1\Remove.reg: The specified file is not a registry script. You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor.

Thanks

Did you copy and paste everything including the Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 heading? (You must include the heading)

Did you save it as type 'all files'? Is the problem machine Windows XP?

Yes I am using Windows XP.

Sorry but im kind of a noob when it comes to tech issues so what does paste everything including the Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 heading mean?

I copied this to the notepad and saved it as Remove.reg

should I be saving it to a specific location?

Thanks
Barry

OK. I can't get it to work. I keep getting an import error. Is it the same reg file for ME and 98?

Hi Dog, For Windows 98, Open Repair.reg in notepad and change the header from
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 to
REGEDIT4
Close it and save the changes, double click on it.

Hi Tom,

I've downloaded repair.reg and I received the error message saying CANNOT IMPORT C:\MY DOWNLOAD FILES\REPAIR.REG: THE SPECIFIED FILE IS NOT A REGISTRY SCRIPT. YOU CAN IMPORT ONLY REGISRTY FILES. So, I run windows 98 and I changed the header in notepad from Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 to REGEDIT4 and I'm still getting the HUN popping up when I run my internet explorer. Please Help!

Many thanks Tom for providing the fix fo Windows XP. Just one thing to note is that you have to repeat it for each user. Is there a fix to the register that can be done so that you only need to do it once?
Cheers
