Have you checked for IRQ conflicts? Uninstalled the sound card drivers and usb drivers if it is a usb 2 card. Then shut down your computer, unplug the power cord, remove both cards from their pci slots and plug the power back in and start the computer, then perform shutdown and unplug the power cable, install the usb card in a different pci slot, plug the power back in and restart and the computer, Windows should detect the device as new hardware, and lead you through installing new hardware and the drivers if it is a usb 2 card. Check the device manager to make sure the device is functioning properly. Then move on the the sound card, shutting down the computer, disconnecting the power and using a different pci slot for the sound card again. Install the drivers as required, when new hardware is detected by Windows.
