Help! anyone! I was at work, on the laptop I use, and an aim window opens from my stepson, the first thing he says is 'look at my profile!' So i did. It said something like 'look at this picture of you i found here'. The word 'here' was a link. I clicked on it,of course. A download box appears. I closed it using the xbutton up in the corner. A second later a nortons window pops up saying i have a virus named Trojan dropper. It also said 'Action taken: Access to the file was denied.' So, naturallly, I ran a nortons scan. It said that no viruses were found, no files were infected. Can that be? Common sense tells me that a virus is a virus, and that they are bad. I read a few posts, and think i need to update my virus definitions and will do so as soon as i get back to work in the morning. Is there any more reccomended behavior? Also, and most importantly, will this creep out of my laptop and infect the network at the dealership where I work? We do not aim each other there, if that is useful info or not, i do not know.
Any help wwill be most appreciated. Thank you for your time.
