Hello...For a while now, Ive had two files in my temp. internet files, WebPoolFileFile, and Index.dat. When i try to delete them, it says cannot delete file, in use by another person or program. I tried turning off the system restore, and ive tried deleting them in safe mode, but they always seem to come back!!! Does anyone know what they are, and if they are harmful????
Thanks

Index.dat--What is Index.dat File?

Get this program from SMUOD's site (moderator here) to delete/clean it;

Delindex

I don't know if Delindex is setup to delete the WebPoolFile,but it can be configured to,or you should be able to delete via DOS.

I don't know what WebPoolFilefile is but index.dat is the entire history of the temp file and can not be deleted only emptied. To empty you can download a programme called Antispy.
