Specs: Windows XP
The system is a clone with AMD 3200 processor 2 gig memory get force graphics card. it is four years old never had a problem. This problem comes up sporadically and has for about 6 month. I use spyware doctor and registry pro. The spyware doctor is disabled except when I run a repair cycle. I run cox cable security suite powered by mcCaffee full time. A problem on my system causes several desktop items to flash on and off at the same time. then if you open the the start or task manager then the titles flash off and on. should you try to start a program form the flashing desktop icons any one of the ones flashing could open, then if you try and open a box where you login for example one letter usually the first one of one of the flashing icons will fill the box with that letter, example ssssssssssssssssssssssss till the available space is full. If you open a word document it will fill the whole page with that letter it will keep filling pages till you shut down the program. Anyone see this poblem before, if so what can fix it permenantly.
