I have a rahter large problem. I use AVG Antivirus and I have been revieving a popup that says I have the Briss.A trojan horse and now a new virus that I can't remember, in the System Volume Information fule, but when I run a virus scan it won't pick up any virus'. What do I do to get rid of this file? I can't find the actual 'System Volume Information' file anywhere when I do a search for it, and I can't do anything in safe mode. How do I get to this file and stop all these virus' coming in?

Berly, Turn off System Restore and restart your computer then do another virus scan which should come up clean and you won't see that message again. Turning off System Restore and restarting your computer purges (deletes) all of the System Restore files in the System Volume Information directory where that Trojan file is hidden. Antivirus Programs cannot remove files from the System Volume Information directory because Windows protects those files.
Note: "After doing the above TURN ON System Restore again".
