Hello, I have two hard drives one, is partitioned in two and the other, is in three. For some reason I now have some extra folders in each partition being,
System Volume Information and RECYCLER folders.
They have appeared today. I cannot remove them. Do I have a virus ?

No. Read this to learn why in the root of every drive there is a folder called System Volume Information.

The Recycler Folders are also normal on each Drive - they are normally Hidden Folders

OK Thanks, But why are they not hidden anymore ? I still think I have something lurking about. Also when I run Spybot search and destroy I am told I have 1023 items to immunise but after pressing the button they are still not immunised. I have tried reverting to a previous system restore, it goes through the process but on finishing everything is the same as before I did the restore. In otherwords, nothing has changed.
