I have a virus. Strange things are happening: I am asked to instal programs, I hear sound fragments of movies etc.
When I want to use system restore it doesnt do anything when I select the date and click next (of course I click on the date that is marked as a restore point).
I have downloaded AVZ and have rebooted using this script
begin
ExecuteStdScr(3);
RebootWindows(true);
end.And now I have a log.
What are the next steps?

Once the System Restore monitor detected that a virus has entered the protected (and hidden) System Volume information folder, the System Restore cease to work. Under this scenario you have to purge all restore points, scan your computer for virus, clean it thenreenable System Restore.

I have scanned with Unhackme
Can anyone please tell me whether these 2 items should be removed1
item name: rotscxiuxhxvng
related file: systemroot\system32\drivers\rotscxinmyblrk.sys2
item name: bootexecute
related file: autocheck autochk *\n Isdelete
partizan

item name: rotscxiuxhxvng
related file: systemroot\system32\drivers\rotscxinmyblrk.sysRemove that.
If I'm helping you and I don't reply within 24 hours send me a PM.

I am asking this for a friend and I will see him again in the weekend. Then I will remove it for him.
(He is even more clueless when it comes to computer problems.)

I am here at my friend's house and I am performing the scan, but something strange has happened: the first item that you recommended me to remove is not found anymore. The scan only comes up with the second item, which is no virus, but just a setting that's different than the default setting.

n Isdelete can be marked as a false positive on unhackme.
Has your scan come up clean yet?
Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
