Comment:

I have a virus. Strange things are happening: I am asked to instal programs, I hear sound fragments of movies etc.

When I want to use system restore it doesnt do anything when I select the date and click next (of course I click on the date that is marked as a restore point).

I have downloaded AVZ and have rebooted using this script
begin
ExecuteStdScr(3);
RebootWindows(true);
end.

And now I have a log.

What are the next steps?

Once the System Restore monitor detected that a virus has entered the protected (and hidden) System Volume information folder, the System Restore cease to work. Under this scenario you have to purge all restore points, scan your computer for virus, clean it thenreenable System Restore.

I am asking this for a friend and I will see him again in the weekend. Then I will remove it for him.
(He is even more clueless when it comes to computer problems.)

I am here at my friend's house and I am performing the scan, but something strange has happened: the first item that you recommended me to remove is not found anymore. The scan only comes up with the second item, which is no virus, but just a setting that's different than the default setting.

n Isdelete can be marked as a false positive on unhackme.

Has your scan come up clean yet?
