Comment:

My computer is always failing to initialize programs because of 'insuffiecient resources'. The commit charge has tripled from usual, but there arent any processes shown that account for that. I ran Norton but couldnt find anything, is it a virus or something else? plz help, half the time windows wont even load

First run Event Viewer (Start / Settings / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer) to view the event logs. This will gather information about hardware and software problems, and monitor Windows security events.

Post back the Event ID # and we'll go from there.

I've got 1505, 1508
'Windows was unable to load the registry. This is often caused by insufficient memory or insufficient security rights.

DETAIL - Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. for C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\ntuser.dat'

On other occasions its 1000
'Faulting application rundll32.exe, version 5.1.2600.0, faulting module 6po4svc.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00017ef4.'

crypt32 errors with id 8,11 also show up a lot but i'm not sure whether they're related or not.
