system automatically switch off

Specs: Windows XP
system automatically switch off without warning and if i will switch on simultaneously, the system is not turn on. minimum 30 minutes taking for switch on from turn off. and in my system "Task manager, System config & regdeit" all are disabled. hen i was installed anti virus it was shown "salty" virus in all drives. I scanned C drive & D drive . some viruses healed & removed by anti virus. now again system is switching off without warning. "Task manager, System config & regdeit" all are still now in disabled condition... Please help me i want to reset my OS & system.

Could be caused by overheating of CPU or general overheating inside PC case. System shuts down when overheating is detected, to prevent permanent damage.

Check all fans are actually working and remove any build-up of dust and debris with a can of compressed air designed for computers. remember to clear dust from all ventilation holes as well.
