Hi,

I have a laptop which has Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition.

I used to have it connected at the network at my job in whcih it was connected to a main server.

I was told that I can continue to use this software even though I am not on the network.. but i find that it doesnt allow me to do anything with it. Liveupdate for example is locked and uninstallation is also locked. I called out IT guy to get the password and it will not accept it.

anyone have any ideas for me?

thanx in advanced!

Do you have local admin rights to your system? This would keep you from being able to manipulate the software. Also you probably need to reconfigure the setting sfor the antivirus to point to the web server to get updates rather than a server within you old company which pushes out .dat file sthat updates you computer or should i say use to update. hope this helps.
