I recently purchased a Kodak digital camera. The purchase included a CD with the Kodak Easy Share program. Several days back I installed the software but when I ran the program my anti-virus (AVG) gave me an alert that the program EasyShare.exe was infected with the virus Downloader.Swizzor. I immediately put the program into quarantine.
Now I cannot run the software. AVG did not offer to repair the .exe file only to quarantine it.
Is there any chance that AVG gave a false indication? Any suggestions of what I should do next?
Thanks

Just a guess....it is there so you can update the software. Factory cd's arn't known to have malware.... adware yes, but not malware

Try un-installing and then reinstalling.

I like avg, but ..... it can overkill.

Looks like a false positive, no other scanners
flag it.

Pokerstars may also be a false detection.

Ignore or wait for next update.

Swizzor is also known as lop

Run the AVG Priority Update for today. It looks like it now sees the file properly and you can restore it back from the virus vault.

Thanks, I have installed the AVG updates and it no longer finds the Swizzor thing.
I wish all of the little problems could be resolved that easily.
