i have avast currently installed and running on my computer. recently it keeps telling me that a trojan virus has been detected in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\svchost.exe. hitting delete makes the message go away but a few seconds later it pops up again. help?

Legitimate svchost.exe file is always located in %SystemRoot%\System32 folder according to this M$ article.

The one you showed us isn't. Try remove it following the link given above.

I guess you have enabled "through scan" option in avast. If yes, change it back to "standard scan" then the window will not pop up periodically.

Go for "kaspersky 7.0" antivirus. Its good and can help you.
