svchost.exe please help

hello, i am having this problem, there is a message that keeps popping it says (svchost.exe - application error the memory could not be "written") and when i open my computer it takes forever to open and then the same message pops again and again, even when i try to remove a program, and also i see some of my folders are gone just like that, is svchost.exe a virus? please i need your help ...
