I have 3 standalone PCs to which I want to load a good antivirus software. As these PCs are not connected to the net, does anyone know which AV software allows me to save the AV updates to a disc from another PC that is connected to the net and then download the updates off the disc to my standalone PCs?

I was told AVG is a good software to use but it does not allow me to save to a disc.

Lol.. What are you trying to do... run a single (assuming paid for version) antivirus on three seperate computers? Kind of like a "three for one" sale?

I'd recommend installing the free AVG antivirus on all three computers. Can't get much easier than that...

I'm afraid I'm unable to answer your question striker 77, but I must apologize for Response Number 1, they obviously did not understand your question

It's not that I can't remember things as I get older, it's just that my hard drive's full.

You probably don't need any AV installed on PCs not connected to the internet unless it's part of a file sharing network. You can scan files offload on the internet-enabled PCs before using it on the non-internet PCs.

If memory serves me right after you install AVG it then runs through a 3 screen setup and the update screen has 2 options for update either internet or folder.

If any advice helps, please post back as it might help others.

Who told you that you can't get definitions as downloaded files from AVG?

Here's one website you can get them from (first hit in Google):

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others...

You can also get them from AVG's own website and I daresay you can do this with many other AV checkers too.
