I have a computer with part of the sub7 virus. It has a file called watching.dll in the windows/system directory. You run a virus check and it comes up. It quarintine it and delete it but the next time you reboot it is back.
I have removed it of other systems by deleting the line it makes in the win.ini and deleting the file in DOS but for some reason on this machine it keeps comping back. Any ideas.
i suggest re installing your os that way it will be wiped and fresh files will be installed if this does not work please email me and i will help u in finer details (P.S BACKUP YOUR IMPORTANT FILES FIRST B4 EBOOTING!)

You don't need to re-install your OS at all, you'd only do this in a vast emergency.
It sounds like you are deleting the shell of the virus but not the core, so when you reboot, it just comes back.
Whats your AutoExec.bat file say ?
Start > Run > Type "msconfig" > Click "Start Up", look what programs you got starting in here, there is more than likely a trojan in there somewhere.
Get back to me for furthur help.
