strings.dat file is missing or corrupted

Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium
The message.... 'strings. dat. file missing or corrupted' .....has appeared on my Computer,,associated with several different new problems e.g. Microsoft Windows operating very very slowly if at all...when I open a file using Microsoft Windows either a message says 0 characters found..or it opens then abruptly disappears leaving blank Windows! A couple of weeks ago I downloaded Babylon...a bad error!!!..It seems to be intent on screwing up computer..I have already uninstalled all of it that I can find...but still get the message above.. Was Babylon the fault???......Help Please.

Yes, uninstall it with Revo & let's see how it goes after a reboot.

Revo Uninstaller
Use Advanced Mode. Screenshots of how to use.
If you have partially uninstalled your program, you see a message from Revo, that it can't find the uninstaller, hit Cancel & let Revo continue on to search for the remnants.
