Specs: Windows XP

string.dat file corrupted or missing what does this mean and how do i remove it. I already deleted the program and short cuts but it still appears when restarting computer.

Sounds like an invalid registry entry. Perhaps you should try scanning with CCleaner, and see what it does: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/do...
