Recently, my computer has been acting very funny. Here is one that really concerns me. My programs list under my start menu rearranged itself in alphabetical order without my command. One day while on line (cable with McAfee Firewall) my programs list popped up on it's own and it was rearranged. Can someone explain this?

hi enicspo,
you may have a trojan.
to find out which trojan you may have, go to www.thepublicworks.com security section and link to pcflank, and do a port and trojan scan, to find out which ports are open and what trojan is associated with it.
once found (if any) go to wilders.org and download a free 30 day trial of Trojan Hunter or Tauscan, if you don't have an anti-trojan. scan your machine.
if you don't have a port monitor, registry monitor and process monitor, link to Sysinternals and download TDImon, Process Explorer, and link to Regprot and download free registry monitor.
you may want to get rid of McAffee firewall, its useless, get sygate, kerio, or zone alarm free versions, much better.
also download some kind of free anti-trojan or purchase Boclean, or TDS. for your security and peace of mind, because its a cruel computerworld out there.
all the best,
murve

I forgot to state the fact that my norton antivirus detects no trojans/virus's.

hi enicspo,
norton is not an anti-trojan and does not have an anti-torjan scan engine, if you are looking for the best anti-virus with an anti-trojan scanning engine get Kapersky Labs anti-virus. so......
do a trojan and port test to be sure.
all the best,
murve
