Hello Wolfang, Apparently this computer is corrupted with a variant of the trojan virus called "BadtransB". This virus is spreading via Outlook express, in the first version it was only spreading, but recentlely variants started to erase programs, one could erase easily your addressbook. I suggest you download a wonderful program called Trojan Remover at : http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/details.html This program is a freeware for one month, after you can keep it or uninstall it.

Sometimes pst files just corrupt, OL will create a new one automatically, you will need to search your system for scanpst.exe and run it on the old pst file then import you old data into the new pst.
