My pointer always goes to the top left portion of my screen. When my browser is open (firefox) it goes to the tools portion of the brop down menu. When my browser is closed it goes to the same area, just not over anything in particular. Also, I have recently received a message from windows that I have updates available for download, but it will not install after several tries (not overly worried about that). Also, when I reboot, if I don't click on an Icon to launch a program of some sort, my computer will just go to a blank black screen and lock up. However, if I do click an icon and start a program right away my computer will boot up assumingly normal - minus the wierd pointer thing anyway. Any ideas? I have a "Hijackthis" log to post if that will help.
