STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

Subject: STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
OS: Windows XP
CPU/Ram: Pentium
Model/Manufacturer: Dell
Comment:
I really need some help. Every time I turn on my computer (Not the one I'm using right now) I get this message:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000407 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down.

This happens every time I attempt to log on to windows, appearing immediately after the Dell loading screen. I've tried using the last known good config. and I've tried safe mode, and everything in the troubleshooting menu, and all attempts to log on have been unsucessful.

I'd really appreciate any help at all right now.

Sorry for no CPU/Ram or Model, but I'm actually not sure.

Try disconnecting any USB devices you may have as there may be a conflict...I have seen similar behavior from printers.

Bless

I'll try both of those options, but can anyone tell me if either of them will damage, or erase any files on my hard drive? Also, how do I check my default debugger, and run it, if I can't log on to windows completely? If anyone has any answers, they'd be very appreciated.

This was a fairly new computer (It'll be one year in July since I bought it) and I had files from my previous computer on it. All help is very much appreciated.

I just remember that I'd seen things about some kind of program that lets you access your desktop computer from anywhere. I'm currently using a laptop, and because I'm in the same house as the "broken" computer (or because I use the same browser on both), they have the same IP address. Is there any way at all that I can access the broken computer, and at least attempt to salvage any of the files on the hard drive?

Please, try to boot your pc into safe mode by pressing F8 during booting. If you are able to get into safe mode, then try system restore.
You can also check if your system fan is running? You are likely to see that error when the CPU becomes hot, because fan is not working to cool it.
