norton tells me i have 2 viruses both called "web.exe", now symantec tells me it's an adware.Iefeats so i download the tool for removing it and nothing comes up, norton wont let me delete it...can anyone help?

Start your PC in 'SAFE MODE' then run Norton. SAFE MODE.... Start the PC and keep tapping the F8 key before the Windows splash screen shows. Use the key board arrow & enter keys to select safe mode. To get out of safe mode, just restart the PC normally. I wonder how many times I have given this advice? I learned of it here a few years ago!

thanks for the help, and i did do a search for the answer first if that helps. but the advice you just gave me hasen't seemed to work either, i went into safe mode and ran norton and it came up with no virues' at all. now to just be sure i ran it again in normal mode and i'm still getting the same definitions

Where is it finding the viruses? If they are in the temporary internet files folder, you can search for them and delete them while in safe mode. That is..... start - search - all files & folders etc web.exe or what ever file it is reporting. You probably will not be able to delete them while Windows is running normally.
