Solved Start up message every time.

September 17, 2012 at 07:28:26
Specs: Windows XP, Pentium D 3.00GHz/ .99 GB RAM
Every time I start/restart I get this message- Windows cannot find "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\E_S4I2F1.EXE"
Is this a virus of some sort or is there just something missing? I did a little searching around and found a 3 year old thread but I don't think it was my exact problem.
Thanks in advance.

✔ Best Answer
E_S4I2F1.EXE is not a virus, it's the Epson Status Monitor for your Epson Printer.
Re-installing the Epson printer driver should fix it.

However, if you no longer have an Epson printer you need to remove E_S4I2F1.EXE from your Startup entries. You can do that with Ccleaner: http://www.filehippo.com/download_c...

It's the Epson status monitor, that get's listed in the system tray, near the clock.
It's not really needed, so you can disable it by running msconfig under Startup.

Otherwise, you have to reinstall the Epson driver to your system.

Well I've removed all Epson software. I was unable to find the E_S4I2F1.EXE in CCleaner, and I am still getting the message. Where exactly can I look for this in CCleaner? I went to tool>startup and I cannot find it under any of the tabs.
Here is what's under the startup tab:
