I am having this icon on taskbar that says 'Spyware Detected, Spywarequake, and error 1752. After I have read from some sites I know that this is an Adware. I tried removing it with Anti-Spyware but it still remains. Hope you can help

These are usually anti-spyware or security software applications that foist their way onto users machines or uses various forms of deception to coerce the user to make a purchase. Typically, these applications are downloaded with some form of unwanted software at which point the rogue application is offered to the customer as a way to remove the unwanted software.

Spyware Quake is associated with SpyAxe, SpyFalcon & SpywareStrike.
Spyware Quake is normally bundled with different trojans as a way of installation. These trojans normally have the ability to alter your desktop to an html page that will warn the user of a spyware infection.
Spyware Quake can report false detections of spyware to scare the user into purchasing the product to remove the false infections.

Download Hijack This 1.99.1 here

Install it and "Do A System Scan Only". Click on "SCAN" at the bottom. Once it's finished click on "Save Log" and save it as a .txt file. DO NOT fix anything! This is a pretty powerful tool. Be sure that the program is in its own folder on the root drive. If it's saved in a temp folder it won't be able to make back-ups if needed. Also be sure that while it's running that no other windows are open. Then copy and paste the log back here and I'll take a look at it for you.

Those other instructions don't always do the trick. If you're still having problems after trying those options, feel free to post the log. I've got a feeling that it'll leave a good trace of itself in your computer. It usually does.

SpywareQuake/Falcon removal instructions at
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/spyware/SpywareQuakeRemoval.html

I was getting a "Computer is infected" message at the system tray/notification area on XP Home Edition. The instructions identified several files that were located in my system32 folder. I also performed a registry search for entries that include these filenames. I'm not sure about the error number you're receiving.

Hope this helps...
