I keep getting a message saying that spyware has been found and that I need to download a program. The message is psw.x-vir trojan. I have run the hijack this if needed teejay

is it your security software that shows the message? if it's some new unsolicited software which displays the alert, it can be a sign of infection. if you use anti spyware i suggest you to run a scan, it might disclose interesting things. if you don't have anti spyware but you're looking for one to download, make sure you choose legitimate one. you should read several reviews before downloading unknown software. tc;

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes.
