Which spyware killer is better: Spyware Nuke or Spybot?

Is Spybot the same as SpywareBlaster?

I always get on my machine and find about 2 or three entrys and not sure where I am getting them from.

One I get all the time is:
adtech, atdmt and clickagents.

After running for about half an hour I got the following from Spyware Nuke:

cgi-bin Cookie:C:\Documents and Settings\tfs\Cookies\tfs@cgi-bin[2].txt
clickagents Cookie:C:\Documents and Settings\tfs\Cookies\tfs@clickagents[2].txt
adtech Cookie:C:\Documents and Settings\tfs\Cookies\tfs@adtech[2].txt
ValueClick Cookie:C:\Documents and Settings\tfs\Cookies\tfs@valueclick[1].txt
advertising Cookie:C:\Documents and Settings\tfs\Cookies\tfs@advertising[1].txt
advertising Cookie:C:\Documents and Settings\tfs\Cookies\tfs@servedby.advertising[1].txt
atdmt Cookie:C:\Documents and Settings\tfs\Cookies\tfs@atdmt[1].txt
targetnet Cookie:C:\Documents and Settings\tfs\Cookies\tfs@targetnet[2].txt

Are these normal?

Thanks,

Tom.

Let's put it this way, Spyware Nuker uses Spybot's technology and just masks the program to make you think it's a totally different one. So you're really ripping Spybot off. Also, Spyware Nuker won't be as secure since it will not update as fast.

I have no idea whether Spywareblaster is the same as Spybot as I don't use it. And the stuff that Spyware Nuker showed you are tracking files. Once again, get Spybot and get rid of Spyware Nuker.

SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.

It also blockes most, if not all
of the bad cookies you have.

SpyBot # 1 spyware removal tool.

OK.

Spyware Nuker is gone.

Would I use both Spybot and SpywareBlaster? I don't mind paying for them, I just don't want both if one would be enough.

Also, what to you mean about updating? Also, what to you mean: "Spyware Nuker won't be as secure since it will not update as fast". What has security have to do with updating? Does it go to the Net to update itself?

Also, what is "ATDMT"? this is the cookie I get all the time. Some cookies I obviously want. Is this one I would want to keep?

Thanks,

Tom.

Spybot is to remove spyware that may already have been installed. Spywareblaster prevents the install in the first place. It is good to use both. Why? Because one might update before the other and find something that may have been missed.

Updating means downloading and installing the program files needed for preventing/removing newly developed spyware. A program can't remove/prevent spyware that it does not "know" about yet.

If you do not know what a cookie is, delete it. If you needed it, the sight will give you a new one. You can choose the "prompt" option for cookies. IE will then tell you the name of every cookie that wants to be saved.

Sorry if I wasn't clear about that Tom. Spyware Nuker, being a rip off of Spybot, doesn't have as current software as Spybot does since it is the original software that Spyware Nuker copied. Therefore, you won't be as secure. Below is a list of other Spybot rip-offs.

Both spybot and spyware blaster have update feature when you start program...you will have to remember to update it, updates are usually every week and only takes a few min.
Also both programs are free. Btw make sure it is spybot S&D you are getting.

spybot

spyware blaster

http://wilders.org/HTMLobj-1593/spywareblastersetup.exe

be sure to update them both after install especially spybot ...it has important patch to prevent the program from crashing.

abnormal's link will work too.

good luck

When you say Spyware Nuker used Spybots original software - where did it get it? Were they the same company at one point?

I just looked at the ripoff page. It talks about getting the information from decrypted database. But where did it get the code? Just curious.
