There seem to be alot of programs to remove spyware (like SpyBot Search & Destroy, Adaware, PestPatrol, etc), but what works really, really good to stop the crap from coming into a PC?

Hello, without a doubt, SpywareBlaster; and of course, your surfing habits.

IE-Spyad is another good protection program.

It puts several thousand known bad sites in restricted zone for IE which by default disables java, active x, and anything else that can be harmful if the wrong site is accessed.
If you happen to hit a bad site....it shows restricted and the buggers cant do anything.

Download here:

IE-Spyad

Follow instructions carefully on install andupdating...it is a little different procedure but works great.

Good luck.
