I had bought Webroot Spysweeper last year and on the 15th of February this year it expired. I then bought, what I had thought was a further subscription for 12 months, Webroot Antivirus with Antispyware and Firewall upgrade at $18.95. When I open Spysweeper it tells me my subscription has expired and would cost me something like $39. It seems what I had downloaded was different from the actual Webroot Spysweeper and I think $39 is very expensive. So my question is: Is Webroot Spysweeper so much better than any other spyware program? I'm using AVG and Kerio Firewall at the moment. Do I really need Spysweeper. Please advise me.

There are many free anti-spyware programs like Ad-Aware and Spybot that you can try in place of Spysweeper.

Bill, I have both installed and they are working fine. It's just that Iought a year's subscription to the antivirus and spyware software of Spysweeper which I had thought was Spysweeper propper. But I find that I now have to renew Spysweeper it self and I find that to be a little too expensive. So I thought ok, count your loss and just delete Spysweeper altogether.

NO
AVG Antivirus
Ad-Aware SE (or 2007)
SpyBot Search & Destroy
...and a Router are all you need!

Hi Martin. I agree. I have all of those installed but the point is I have renewed my subscription with Webroot but I fail to install Spysweeper as it keeps on telling me my subscription has expired. But I have decided to throw my case to the web and see what others suggest I do. Thanx for your input.
