Specs: XP Pro/SP1, AMD Athlon 64/3800+/1 Gig

Hi peeps,
Is there a way to set spybot to ignore a specific system file during the scan?
I couldn't find any way to do so in the settings.
Thx!

By "spybot", I assume that you mean 'Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4'.

In settings you will find 'Ignore Products', find the entry you wish to allow and place a check in the box. Spybot will no longer look for it.

Another aproach is to run a scan, on the results page, right click the file and choose add to ignore list or something similar. I don't have any scumware on my computer to try it.

I dont have any spyware installed.
This is am issue that arose after the June 18th update.
The file "windrvNT.sys" is a file which is created when a program I own,Folderlock is run.And now for some reason whenever I run spybot I get a BSOD approximately between the 7200-8000 mark in the scan.
I couldn't find windrvNT.sys in the ignore products section under all the tabs.
Yes I'm running 1.4.

No, you won't find that there. All you will find are the malware files that Spybot S&D looks for.

Try getting the latest definitions (24 June), this might help if this only started on the June 18 update.

Spybot S&D doesn't scan all files like Adaware or an antivirus programs. It looks for the presence of files and registry entries that the malware uses.

Chunko, you can do the following:
You could decide on ignoring all usage tracks. In that case you could open the File sets page on the Settings section of the program, and disable the Usage tracks entries.
Or if you want to just keep all tracks from a specific product, just right-click a product in the results list.
Finally, if you want to keep just one file, that is possible the same way. HTH

Well I installed the latest update and same error.
I already have usage tracks disabled and I cant right click the item because spybot can never complete the scan.
Its not spybot that's causing the failure its the folderlock program.
Apparently (Google)there have been a few others who had a similar experience with the windrvNT.sys file and crashing.
Anyways I wrote to the company,
Newsoftwares. They responded by telling me to install the program to a different directory other than the default.Did it and same result.Deleting the file is only temporary-after the program is opened it recreates the file.
Anyways thanks guys for the advice.
