Comment: I went to download most recent update and it says there is one availabel, but when i click on download update it freezes and after a few seconds or so I hit ctrl,alt,del, and it says spybot not responding...I have tried about 10 times..this is the first time I have had any trouble loading updates..ne suggestions..thanx much...I love this site...

Reply: (edit)Noticed similar problem trying to download updates for almost two weeks. Wilders,org show 'new version 10/12'. Unistalled Spybot and downloaded new version couple days ago. Since then it has downloaded the same update three times till this morning. Like marinersfan fan says it just freezes. Thats no help but just adding my voice to say dont feel like a lone wolf. Hope they get it sorted out soon.

Reply: (edit)After posting responce number 2 checked for Spybot update this time it did download an update but I closed Spybot got this: Spybot has caused an error in kernel32.dll
Spybot will now close
If you continue to experience problems try restarting you computer Clicked ok but computer went stupid. Trying to restart computer with ctrl-alt-del or start menue couldn't do it. Had to push the main power button. Ran maintenance wizard had +16k in lost file. Internet connection was changed from default to never dial connection. Put the fear in me. Not computer savy enough to know whats going on, gonna leave the updates alone for a while.

Reply: (edit)Here are two places to go for assistance.The spybot forum at net-itegration.com.You can also get there by opening Spybot and clicking on "info&license">"credits".Look for the forum link on the bottom of screen.Spywareinfo.com's support forum has Spybot users that are more knowledgable about fixing problems than I am.Hope this helps.JB
