I downloaded & installed Spybot S&D but am unable to see the "menu" on the lh side of the window. I have reduced the window size, tried click & drag to expose the menu, re-downloaded/installed with every possible option but still the menu will not appear. Anyone else have this problem??

Have you tried hovering the mouse on the line dividing the left hand side menu or in your case on the left hand edge of the SPYBOT S&D banner. When you hold the mouse over that line it should change to a double-arrow cursor, when that happens just hold down the left-mouse button and move it towards the right-hand side. If you need further assistance just give me a shout.

Hope That Helps.

ER4S3R - yes, tried that lots of times. I get the <--||--> symbol but dragging it has no effect whatsoever.

Murve - Going into advanced mode thru' start/progs brings up the same Spybot window and no change to what I can do with it. Thanks for your greeting & happy New Year to you and yours.

I feel so stupid 'cos no-one else seems to have the problem.

Virginia,

Actually, I am having the same problem and was just about to write into the forum about it. In fact, I can't seem to figure out how to start Spybot S&D in advance mode. Where is there an opportunity to choose advance mode?

Everyone,

Silly me. When I went to start>all programs>Spybot S&D>Spybot S&D (advanced mode), I got the buttons on the lower left just fine.

Virginia,

I'm sorry I don't have a good solution for your problem. Your post did help me figure out my problem. So I'd like to say thank you and wish you a speedy solution to your problem as well.

OK to save you precious time and effort, the solution is VERY simple, just uninstall your present copy, delete the folder in the program files folder than delete the registry entry (start>run>regedit)named "PepiMK Software: SpybotSnD" after you done that simply re-install fresh and the toolbar on the left hand side should reappear!

If you want RegCleaner to do that for you, since tampering with the registry can be harmful, click on the link below.
