Hi
For the past several weeks i have been getting IE error messages everytime i surf the internet. When i sent in the report to MS it said it could be spyware on my computer, they recommended that i download this program to check my computer. I did that and when I ran the scan it should that i had 202 problems that was found. I noticed that some of the problems had registry keys included, Can I safely remove these problems without it affecting the overall performance of my computer. I do not know much about the registy keys so i think that is what bothers me the most. I am afraid it will do damage to my computer..
If anyone can give me some insight about removing this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in Advance

I have used Spybot for about 2 years now and have removed everything it has ever told me to (including registry keys) and have never had a problem.

A lot of spyware uses registry keys to work. I too have never had a problem with removing anything that Spybot has recommended.
You will of course have noticed the warning message. If removing the spyware disables any program, then that program is not worth having.
Don't forget to immunise. This stops the spyware getting back on.
I'd also recommend getting Ad-Aware SE as a companion program. You'll find a link at the top ofthis forum.
Don't forget to keep these programs up to date. Both usually update once a week or so.
