Spybot Restore Point

Whenever i run Spybot S&D it tries to create a restore point prior to fixing problems, and at this point my system freezes up. I can create restore points on my own, no problem there, but when Spybot tries to do this it freezes. Has anyone else come across this problem?

No, haven't had this problem.
But you can set SpyBot so that it will not create a restore point before fixing spyware/usage tracks/system internals under
Settings> Settings> Main Settings
Go here and clear the two checkmarks related to creating restore points before fixing. (At your own risk).

Thanks aosclay,
That is in fact what i have done, then i just manually create a restore point prior to running all my adware/spyware scans weekly. It just bothers me a bit that it is happening to begin with. Perhaps its an SP2 thing? I'd be surprised though, since i've had no other problems with the new service pack.

No thanks, you feel free to keep all the SP2 problems over in your neck of the woods. I'm quite happy (and lucky i guess) to have a machine running the thing without any trouble.
