Reply: (edit)I like a lot of people at this forum use both. SpyBot is the new kid on the block and is updated a lot more than Ad-aware is. I find that you have to be careful with SpyBot, because you can disable some programs that you like very easily, with Ad-aware, I select remove components automatically and never have to worry about it disabling something I need. Reply: (edit)Hi Elane.I remember reading about Spybot not detecting Alexa.A search of the Spybot FAQ(via page 5 of Spybot1x forum thread)The basis of not detecting Alexa regards a Microsoft IE key.This is related to a search engine.Hope that this helps.JB

Reply: (edit)hi elane, try pestpatrol it will detect not only adware, spyware but also trojans. its free if you don't want to buy it but you will have to know how to go into your registry and your windows files to delete trojans and spyware and adware. all the best, murve
