Has anyone else had problems with Spybot S&D v1.4 when using the resident SDhelper & Teatimer? Basically the pop-up box that gives you the option to accept or deny registry settings has the 2 buttons missing, so you can neither accept or deny. The only option is to close the box, which denies the change! I have this on both an XP and 2000 system, so I have reverted back to 1.3 for now. Anyone got a fix?

No problems here either. Perhaps your download was corrupted. I would uninstall 1.4, and try installing another download from safer networking.com.

Wiz....,
Use the 'A' key to accept, and the 'D' key to deny. Have a look
CrazyOne Hmm, wonder if those are all final 1.4s With no mods ;-) thanks

I tried to download the new updates this morning and it seems to just hang as it is trying to download the update and doesn't finish. The cancel button in the download box doesn't work either. I had to use the task manager to close it.
I'm not ignorant, I just need more learning!

Spybot 1.4 has been a thorn in my side also - no allow or deny. When doing critical updates or installing it is a real problem - then an error comes up because it will not work.
Hopefully Spybot will have a fix for this?????

Hi Guys. Thanks for th replies so far. It seems I'm not the only one having problems, the list of bugs for this version is definately growing! I have finally heard back from Pat Kolla (safer networking) and he is 'looking into' this and some other bugs, so hopefully it will be resolved soon. For now I'm sticking with v1.3, a fine and reasonably bug-free release!
