TheKid, strange that their is no 1.3TX at Patrick's site. I have used his betas before, and I have not seen a download that looks like the one at your link.

I agree with capt...I went to Patrick's site and there is no mention of Spybot 1.3TX. I looked everywhere and no mention of it.

Yes,it is strange...it was no rookie that passed on the info to me (and others),but I'll stay tuned...as I have questioned it's validity.I have scanned it with a couple of programs, showing nothing.

Forgive my "quick-posting",as I didn't mean to get you all excited! ;-0

Morning everyone,

I thought I had posted this response last night before hitting the sack but apparently I goofed somehow, so here goes again.

I am currently using Spybot 1.3 with no problems. Normally when an update is announced I just click on the update link and it is automatically downloaded and installed.

However, this new Spybot 1.3.1 TXT update has me stumped.

Do I tell the update where to go on my computer or will it automatically find my Spybot folder and take care of itself?

Also, am I correct in assuming that this is simply an update to the 1.3 version and not a new version in itself? In other words, do I leave the original 1.3 version as it is and just download Spybot 1.3.1 TXT strictly as an update?

I'll check back in after work tonight. Any help or guidance will be appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Phil

Hello all...

Just to let you know that I d/l'ed the TX and all it does is fix the DSO exploit. Spybot works just like it always did.
Dunno if you all knew that, just thought I'd throw my two cents in.
Take care...

If you have the 1.3 Final version & the TX update (majorgeeks has both) you will not have the problems people are having with the 1-26 update. Had the same problem with that Deutsch staring at me, I uninstalled Spybot, downloded the 1.3 FINAL version & the TX fix from majorgeeks, installed the 1.3 final first, then the TX fix. Problem is GONE. Tugboat WinXP SP2 OEM P4 3.2 HT 2GB DDR2-533 Mhz
