I have been getting popups on my computer, and a bubble pops up in the right hand corner of the taskbar saying somthing about i have spyware and stuff. When i bring up taskmanager, it shows that i have mssearchnet.exe running and when i try to end it, it just comes back. I have scanned with adaware and avast antivirus and still have not solved the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

mssearchnet.exe is an executable file that is responsible for launching parasites, loading main components of malicious programs and running a destructive payload. It belongs to SPyAxe or Spywarestrike parasites. You must be very carefull with it and make sure you DO NOT RUN this file.

If you still have this problem, please try up to date SpyAxe removal and Spywarestrike removal instructions.

I got today the trojan mssearchnet.exe.

I could not remove it by Zone Alarm, Spykill,
Adaware SE personal, Histry kill and registry mechanic.

I restore my computer to March 16 and this seemed to help. Mssearchnet.exe was removed from c:\Windows\system32. However, in c:\windows\prefetch there still was a file
entitled MSSEARCHNET.EXE-0AFC02c2. It stated that it was last modified March 25.

Should I delete it? Is it safe to delete it?
If the answers are Yex and NO, what should I do?

Any help will be appreciated.

Spy Kill reports that my computer is infected by My Little Spy, but in spite of "cleaning"
the information appears again and again.

It states that the damaging file exists in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Network Associates\TVD\Shared Components\On Acess Scanner\Behavior Blocking-Health\Monitor.exe,mipisp32.exe,osirisd.exe
and additional exe files.

What should I do?

I must add that ZoneAlarm, Spybot, MacAfee
antivirus and Lavasoft Adware Personal do not even report this trojan, not to mention ---
do not clean it. Google directs me to other
spyremovers, but when I look carefully, none of them promisses to kill My Little spy.

Any advice will be welcome.
