I know Spammers can get addresses using Spambots, websites, newsgroups etc..but I was wondering about one other place.
The e-mails that get forwarded over and over again that could contain hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of addresses...can spammers get addresses that way? If so, is there a name of that method of retrieving addresses?

Mostly spammers pick up addresses off websites. The golden rule is never to leave your address in open text on a website unless it is disguised - they just look for the "at signs".
If you respond to junk mail that is another way of getting on their data bases (which they sell to each other).
Yes, of course it is equally true that if emails are continuously reforwarded (without using blind copy) then every now and then they will fall into the hands of a spammer. I know of no name for this but suspect the other methods I mentioned are far more commonplace.
