Ok... I imagine everyone who checks out the questions about sp2 are just about fed up with them. Right?
Well... I haven't been on Computing.net for some time now (with any computer problems, knock on wood), but now I have a question.
I wanted to check on some Windows updates through Windows update feature and when it opens it automaticly starts with the sp2 download. Is there a way around this to check on updates that may have not been downloaded within the past two or three months without starting this sp2 feature?
Personally I am going to wait about six months until most of the bugs are fixed in sp2 before I put it on my system.
I feel sorry for those who did download it and are having problems, but then again you have to live and learn with Microsoft!
Ok... Now it's your turn to rip my post apart.

So your question boils down to the above, right? Since Microsoft apparently have replaced the url for the Windows Updater to http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5consumer/default.aspx?ln=en-us, you can check the other option being:
Review and install other updates
If you do not install Windows XP Service Pack 2, other updates might still apply to your computer.
