yeah hey i've got this message from norton about this virus. I've looked around and found some things called hijackthis and killbox but i know nothing about computers so i'm not going to fool around with them, can someone please help me get rid of this thing from my computer its really bugging me and i'm not to great with computer so i'm not sure how to get rid of it..i did the scan thing for hijackthis Its not letting me show it.


If someone can please help me out and try to fix this it would be a BIG help.

Take a look on this HijackThis tutorial. It is a step-by-step explanation of how to use HijackThis. All program features are also explained.

The Vundo trojan can be removed using manual removal instructions or an anti-spyware program. However, if you have some difficulties with manual removal, you should try Microsoft AntiSpyware and Vundo automatic removal tool.

i found the file that was infected with hijackthis

its an 020 file there's four of them should i fix them?

O20 - Winlogon Notify: awtqq - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\awtqq.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: igfxcui - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\igfxsrvc.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: javaip - C:\WINDOWS\repair\javaip.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: nutlib - C:\WINDOWS\system\nutlib.dll (file missing)

Turn off the system restore.
Then go to trendmicro and use their free scanner and it should remove it for you.

to turn off system restore:
right click "my computer" icon and select "properties" >system restore tab and then select box "to turn off system restore" and ok/agree out

I turned off system restore and scanned with that program but norton still has the pop up and the file is still in the folder?, what should i do?????, i dont want to fool around with anything i'm not sure of using.
