hi, this is a major problem. I'm actually surprised to find that i can still access anything, let alone the internet. What happened was, all of a sudden, my firefox had a toolbar in the bottom with russian words from a website called qip.ru
I tried to get rid of it, but the language was wholly in russian, so i was a tad confused, but i eventually unchecked a bunch of stuff and pressed what seemed to be the "confirm" button and presto, it was gone.
I thought the problem was solved, but the situation exacerbated considerably. Now the "windows explorer has stopped working" is in infinite loop as soon as i turn on my laptop.
The only way i'm able to even turn on firefox now is by pressing "restart the program" button on the "windows explorer has stopped working" window and in the split second it takes to pop up again, i immediately double click firefox.
Unfortunately, this is all i can do; i can't even go to "my computer" or press any buttons at all.
I have some important files that i don't want to get rid of by reformatting, but it seems almost inevitable.
HELP!!!!!
BTW, I have access to the windows task manager, so i have access to cmd in case that helps
