I have been fighting to clean the virus that I had about 12 days ago and have been unsuccessful. I have Trend Micro and now I cant even have access to the console. I cant even access the website normally. I tried to uninstall with no success. I cant get help from them for some technical reason between me and them. Now I feel lost and dont know what to do or where to start. I was able to use HijackThis.

Besides the windows security alerts does not work. I cant switch on the automatic updates.

PLEASE HELP

Hi NMO,

It is not that difficult to clean a PC. The symptoms of an infected PC and steps to clear them using Free tools are available at:

Thanks IAMWEC.

Rochak, I am running the combofix as I write
this and it has gone beyond stage 41, is that
normal? Depending on our time difference , I am sure the autoscan will be done! I had already downloaded Avast so AVG was not necessary, is that okay? I had also downloaded Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, is that okay?

Thanks

Nimimi

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is a GREAT program. This program is a great virus removal program that I use often when I get a virus (Kaspersky works for me to fend off viruses and gets rid of them too.) I would recommend avast! over AVG because AVG uses name scanning which is not all that acurate so there are a lot of false positives, but avast! uses the same stuff as higher commercial AV programs.
